SOUTHERN BUSINESS SCHOOL UNVEILS DOCTORATES
Southern Business School, one of South Africa’s largest private distance-learning higher education institutions, is proud to announce the full accreditation and registration of their doctorates in Policing and in Management in 2021.
“This is a significant moment for Southern Business School,” said acting principal and STADIO CEO Chris Vorster. “It will enable our masters students in Policing and Management to further their studies in the same trusted learning environment to which they have become accustomed. This completes SBS’s total academic offering from higher certificate to doctorate. It also demonstrates recognition from our peers and the academic world and shows that they have trust in SBS’s academic offering.”
Global business is expanding at a remarkable rate and processes are constantly evolving. The Doctorate in Management will enable graduates to excel in the most challenging management positions and solve management-related problems in the business environment.
The purpose of the Doctor of Management programme is to enable candidates to develop comprehensive and advanced discipline-specific skills and competence in management. The programme will provide students with the opportunity of high-level personal intellectual growth. The qualification will equip them with the necessary skills to fast-track economic activity and give them the ability to make a rewarding contribution to society.
The Doctorate in Policing is offered by a highly specialised school within Southern Business School, which provides industry-specific programmes that enhance managerial competencies within the law enforcement sector. Over the past two decades the School has developed thousands of law enforcement officers to enable them to be promoted in their wokplace.
The Doctorate in Policing will empower students to solve complex policing problems in a focused way. It will teach them to effectively manage and allocate resources, to communicate effectively and to contribute to the knowledge base and socio-economic transformation in a responsible and ethical manner.
The programme will provide South Africa with highly skilled individuals in policing, particularly from disadvantaged communities, ensuring that leadership, innovative and knowledge-based policing, and scholarly activity are strengthened and diversified.
